| Yeah I'm basically joining in on the hype right now, but you've all must have heard about him by now, it's JEREMY LIN.
No, I'm not just a fan because he's Asian. (Although I must say, I love how he's representing =] )
But there are several aspects of him that I really admire
1. He's worked so hard. He never gave up even though he never got any athletic scholarships and wasn't officially drafted until 2010.
2. He's intelligent, HARVARD GRADUATE YO.
3. He's humble. He never takes credit for everything, he's a true team player.
4. He's God-loving. This makes me respect him that much more. "I just thank Jesus Christ my Lord and savior for giving me this opportunity" - Lin

| Which I wasn't really sure what that meant, haha so I looked it up.
We had some pretty bad snowfall the past week which resulted in a week of no school for me but I didn't realize how bad power outages were. The roads were pretty bad though. I think my area had about 7-8 inches of snow?
Thankfully, my house didn't lose power (although apparently the street next to mine did) so I'm super grateful for the heat, food, and most importantly, MY INTERNET.
Lol, not gonna lie, I would have died without it. Yesterday, I lost connection for a minute and I started freaking out and was like "oh frick, how am I going to do my homework", but then I got it back and did I do homework? Nope -____- stupid Facebook and Tumblr and Netflix.
Snow days make me so lazy... now I got a week of homework to catch up on.
Cheers to the weekend though. Hopefully this rain will melt all the snow because I'm going crazy being stuck at home all week. | | |
| I guess this is my late New Years post for Xanga, but unlike my Tumblr one it's not gonna be full of highlights of 2011 and resolutions shizz haha.
Comparing the year before to the next is always full of changes. For me, it seems like it's the people I hang out with. My friends. I lost friendships, I gained friendships, and I KEPT very few friendships.
For the friends I lost, I don't really know what happened. Somewhere along the way, the connection faded. I can't seem to really pinpoint exactly how or when, but they ended without me even realizing it.
For the friends I made, I actually do remember how we met and began talking. But what I'm curious about is, are they going to be the ones I lose in 2013? And will I not know what happened to the friendship as well?
And for the friends I kept, man am I thankful for them. They're the ones who stood by through the thick and thin. The ones who you know actually cared because they put in the effort to be a part of your life.
One thing I learned is by the time you realize it's happening, it has already happened.
I do, however, believe that everyone you meet, comes in your life for a reason. So I'm looking forward to 2012 and all the people it'll bring :) | | |

College - you skip class to study/do hw for another class
I've got to say, after senioritis last year I'm pretty proud of myself for only skipping once so far this quarter.

| So my hair has gotten pretty long and annoying so I was like, why not, let's cut it all off! My friend who is known to be good with hair (although never cut someone else's) agreed to try cutting mine. In fact she was more excited than me! Haha.
I got to donate 11 inches of hair for the first time :)
